Helping Pupils In and Out of School

Because Every Child Deserves to Learn in a Way That Works for Them

No two children learn in exactly the same way – and that’s what makes teaching such a joy for me.
Whether your child is in school and needs a little extra support, is home educated, or you’re a school seeking additional support for your SEND pupils, I create learning experiences that are practical, engaging and confidence-building.

Learning should never feel like a chore. Sessions are designed to be interactive, fun and meaningful, with a strong emphasis on building self-esteem alongside academic progress.

Above all, I focus on helping children understand how they learn best. When pupils start to see themselves as capable, curious learners, everything change.

My Experience

Over the years I’ve taught across Key Stages 1 to 4, including working as a class teacher, Maths and Phonics Lead, and as an autism specialist supporting pupils with a range of needs including: autism, dyslexia and literacy difficulties, ADHD and attention needs, anxiety and emotional regulation challenges, and speech, language and communication needs
My background in both mainstream classrooms and specialist environments means I understand how to adapt lessons so that every child can access learning – whether that’s through hands-on tasks, visual supports, movement breaks, or multi-sensory teaching.

Working together for your children

Home education offers incredible flexibility, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. I provide tailored tutoring for home-educated KS1/2 pupils, including:
– Structured support in core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
– Practical, project-based learning to spark curiosity.
– Assessment for learning and progress tracking.
Guidance for parents who want to support learning at home.
Each session is shaped around your child’s interests, strengths and learning goals – because home education should be as unique as they are.

Tutoring for schools

I also work with schools to deliver specialist tuition for pupils who:
– Require targeted SEND support.
– Need to catch up after absence or disengagement.
– Are transitioning between settings or key stages.
– Are currently out of their normal school provision
– Benefit from bespoke, trauma-informed teaching approaches.
My work with schools focuses on collaboration – with SENCOs, teachers and families – to ensure support is consistent, evidence-based and compassionate.
All lessons are fully differentiated and inclusive, with clear progress tracking and regular communication with parents or schools.
